Claire Denis' contribution to anthology film À propos de Nice, la suite. Denis regular Gregoire Colin is snatched off the sidewalk by some guys he knows, given a gun and an apparently convincing speech (we don’t hear it – there’s no spoken dialogue). Colin stops at the beach to think, then heads through a parade to a restaurant, where he finds and kills his man.

The story is a comical look into the world of the typical nice guy. Alex Kelvin is a self starting entrepreneur successful in business and as a father, but lost once he is thrust unwillingly into the dating scene. It isn't until he finds a new female roommate named Samantha Sutbaum that his fortunes change for what he lacks in social skills she makes up for in abundance for she has no filter, and not a care in the world what other think about her. She not only changes his outlook on romantic life but possible his entire world.

Very Nice, Very Nice is a 7 minute long avant-garde film made by Arthur Lipsett in 1961. It was completed with funding from the National Film Board of Canada. While working at the National Film Board, Lipsett collected pieces of audio and pieced them together as a hobby. When his friends heard the product of this they suggested that he add images to it. This film is the result.
